Bearing of feed shafts and rollers with KS PERMAGLIDE® P14 plain bearing bushes

Franking and inserting require a great number of precise movements, e.g. the addition and removal of envelopes and paper as well as paper folding. The bearing positions are mostly subject to an oscillating movement. Cylindrical plain bearing bushes made from unleaded KS PERMAGLIDE® P14 are used for transport shafts and rollers, for example.
The material is highly suitable for bearings due to its low wear and low operating bearing clearance.
Due to weight and installation space, the sintered bronze bushes previously used in the application have been almost completely replaced by slim KS PERMAGLIDE® plain bearing bushes. The all-plastic plain bearings previously used by a manufacturer are too easily worn and do not guarantee sufficient protection against fractures.
Needle bearings can also be replaced by KS PERMAGLIDE® plain bearing bushes for these applications. KS PERMAGLIDE® plain bearing bushes are economical and take up very little space compared with needle bearings.

Description of material
KS PERMAGLIDE® P14 is a lead-free standard sliding material with a high tribological performance. It is designed for maintenance-free applications under dry-running conditions. It may also be employed in systems with liquid lubrication, however. The use of grease as a lubricant with P14 is only possible to a limited extent, and is not recommended.
