KS Permaglide® special materials

Plain bearing production

Sliding elements in a variety of standard and other designs are produced from the composite material in cutting, stamping and shaping processes. Flange bushes, consisting of wrapped bushes and stamped thrust washers, are joined using a newly developed laser welding process. In this way, they offer a range of advantages compared to the standard forming process. Depending on the application case, they are treated with a tailored corrosion protection at the end.

Quality of KS permaglide® plain bearings

The entire manufacturing process is monitored and controlled by means of a tight network of quality assurance measures, which enables all of the important characteristics of a plain bearing to be reliably mapped.
