What is Permaglide® P180?
Permaglide® P180 is a new, lead-free plain bearing material that is highly durable, resistant and suitable for universal use. P180 has taken the P14 material one step further and offers improved tribological properties. P180 can also be used in tribological systems in which, to date, only materials containing lead (e.g. P10) have been used. 
What are the properties of the P180 material?
The P180 material is suitable for universal use, offers low and constant friction values, high wear resistance and extremely good dry running performance, and is lead-free and maintenance-free. 
What are the advantages of P180?
When it comes to selecting the right material, P180 is a lead-free, environmentally friendly and legally compliant solution. The material offers excellent durability and resistance and requires no maintenance. P180 is suitable for universal use and can replace several materials such as P10 and P14. 
What are the advantages of the P180 material compared to P14?
P180 has taken the P14 material one step further and offers improved tribological properties. For example, P180 clearly surpasses the P14 material in terms of the pv value.  The composition of the P180 material is of a higher quality and very wear-resistant, which is particularly advantageous for applications that are subject to harsh operating conditions. In addition, P180 can also be used in water.
What are the advantages of the P180 material compared to P10?
P180 contains no lead and meets environmental, health and occupational safety requirements. P180 has improved tribological properties and surpasses P10 in terms of the pv value. P180 has proven itself in applications in which, to date, materials containing lead (e.g. P10) have been used.
What can P180 be used for?
The P180 material is ideal for universal use. P180 can be used dry, lubricated and hydrodynamically and is suitable for applications such as fluid pumps, compressors, actuators, steering systems, solenoid valves, seat adjusters, hydraulic and pneumatic applications, plus many others.
Can P180 be used for applications where P14 has been used to date?
The P180 material can be used instead of P14 and it has already proven itself in comparable applications. P180 has taken P14 one step further. It fully meets and surpasses P14’s characteristics profile. 
Can P180 be used for applications where P10 or only materials containing lead have been used to date?
The P180 material can also be used in tribological systems in which, to date, only materials containing lead (e.g. P10) have been used. It has already proven itself in comparable applications. 
What are the advantages of changing over from P14 and P10 to the P180 material?
P180 is suitable for universal use and can replace several materials such as P10 and P14. This makes it easier to choose materials and optimises warehousing, thus reducing the work and costs involved. P180 offers improved properties compared to P14 and to P10 which contains lead.
